The asset inventory module maintains information about your organizations fixed asset equipment. The information stored such as the equipment make, model and serial number along with the purchase order number, location reference, equipment status and other notes give a base of information for sorting out where equipment is located, handling equipment warranties and RMAs and its main function, providing a base of information for all of the other modules in the system to reference from. Barcoded asset inventory tags attached to your organizations equipment provides a way of tracking and referencing that equipment. With tagged assets, your employees only need to reference the asset inventory tag number when entering work requests and tracking work history on equipment, or requesting things such as software license information.
